Poppy Pods in Watercolor

Today's play with color with the goal of keeping this "loose." 

Pre-wet each pot with brush strokes of water here and there (not completely covering entire pod) and loosely brushing in color.  Few areas I added a little glazing after initial wash was dry.

Daniel Smith:  Cerulean Blue, Quin Rose, New Gamboge, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber

I really like this, guess this style of painting appeals to me. And the flowers in the next post are wonderful too.

Diane.......thank you so much for your comment. And I understand about looking on and not always commenting. I too am the same way with blogs I follow. I comment every now and then just to let the person know like you have with me :-D

My style seems to change depending upon my mood. I never know what to expect of myself......lol
